Second phase of collaboration with ATIVIZIG closed successfully

The collaboration with Water Management Directorate at Szeged (ATIVIZIG) aimed to develop a prototype for forecasting water level time series at main locations of the region (Mindszent, Csongrád, Algyő and Szeged). In the scope of this feasilbility study, we developed a cloud-based application for viewing flood gauge data and selecting neural network models trained for predicting water level values at the main locations. Additionally, we implemented a basic algorithm for detecting flood waves along the river Tisza and visualizing the characteristic curves from the travelling wave peaks.

The participants of this study were the students of Bolyai Institute, Vivien Gasztányi, Luca Rátki, Marcell Dabis, Csaba Rosztóczy, the external experts dr. Bálint Batki, Dávid Leichner and researchers of the Institute Norbert Bogya and dr. Zsolt Vizi.
